Deontay Wilder proves world pedigree with brutal Luis Ortiz win

Anthony Joshua does not have confidence to fight me - Deontay Wilder
A Joshua-Wilder matchup would help the heavyweight division gain some much-needed visibility.
The fight in NY last night between defending WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz might have been tactical at times in the ring, but nowhere near as tactical as Eddie Hearn's moves outside the ring to negotiate and dominate the structure of the forthcoming heavyweight fights. Ortiz is not only an excellent power puncher but he also is a very good counter puncher, which likely means that Wilder won't take as many chances as he usually does.
Ortiz beat the count once, but not the second time. Some may hope that the two fighters can meet this year, as Joshua will face undefeated Australian Joseph Parker on March 31 in Wales. He wasn't a king.
Wilder managed to stay on his feet but it took him another couple rounds to shake off the cobwebs and score the TKO win late in the 10th. That was the only round he had won till then.
"Ortiz has got nothing, but maybe it goes three rounds". He had just one professional fight before he reached his thirties and can't afford to waste any more time, which makes this matchup that much more important to the Cuban.
Wilder, however, insists he will have no problem crossing the Atlantic in order to face Joshua, despite a mixed response from fans when he was in attendance at Wembley when AJ memorably knocked Klitschko in April.
Brook's return to boxing at super-welterweight is highly anticipated, as he was too small and ineffective at middleweight when he dared to be great against the fearsome Gennady Golovkin, and too drained to drop back down to the welterweight limit sensibly against Errol Spence Jr. Boxers sometimes use diuretics to lose weight before a weigh-in, but Ortiz fights at heavyweight, which has no weight limit. "I will do the same to Joshua", promised Wilder, who is an engaging man, but still after 40 wins so achingly raw.
Who do you want to win at this year's Oscars?
It is the only time a film from the silent era won best picture , with the award going to World War One romance "Wings". The 22-year-old was widely unknown prior to his appearance in the film " Call Me by Your Name ".
The American picked up £1.5million for his role at the Barclays Center but he could comfortably pocket 10 times that amount by stepping in the ring with Joshua. Cuban continued the fight and endured a hard sixth round, during which Wilder was so fascinated by the attack that she began to forget about the defense. "I wondered why it took so long for him to get a title shot and now we know".
"Talking of milking the cow, I think Deontay's got a chip on his shoulder, because his udders are dry", Hearn told Sky Sports News.
Wilder still wanted to fight Ortiz once he stopped Stiverne. Everybody ducked this guy.
Dmitry Bivol defended the WBA light heavyweight title with a stunning performance that saw him knock Sullivan Barrera in the 12 round. I've got mates from all different nationalities and you can't come out and say that. I'm sorry about the language, but it's just, like I said, I don't have a filter.
"Everyone knows what I'm expecting Saturday night".
"I am ready right now".
"I don't know who's the most unsafe out of those two", said Wilder.
