The father of a victim of the Parkland school shooting criticized Republican Sen.

No, we've been actually talking about that for a long time.

Seventeen people were killed in February 14 when a former student walked into Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland with an assault rifle and opened fire. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., if he will continue to accept money from the NRA during a CNN town hall meeting on Wednesday.

A National Rifle Association spokeswoman accused the media of loving mass shootings because they boost viewership. He said it was evidence in politics that people can change their minds.

Fred Guttenberg, whose daughter Jaime was killed, said he was angry that many lawmakers won't say that firearms are a problem. He said that if he believed an assault weapons ban "would have prevented this from happening, I would have supported it".

Those admissions drew support from people at the town hall, and he noted that "U.S. politics is only aspect of our lives where changing your mind is a bad thing".

But the students and others, and the crowd reactions sounded as if they heard her argument as offensively irrelevant, as completely tone deaf to what they wanted to discuss: the role of the guns in Cruz's hands.

Rubio and Rep. Ted Deutch agreed. Had he not gone, his absence would have been glaring, with his fellow Florida senator, Democrat Bill Nelson, on stage.

A writer and executive producer of television and films revealed on Wednesday that NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch, a former right-wing radio host, asked him if she could star in a comedy show about a "hot young mom who does far right radio". "Why do we have to march on Washington just to save innocent lives". CNN invited both, and they both declined.

In another tweet , Trump said, "I have been much tougher on Russian Federation than Obama , just look at the facts". Federal law makes it a crime for foreign nationals to use financial means to attempt to influence USA elections.

Hundreds have gathered to remember a 37-year-old assistant football coach and security guard gunned down while helping students to safety during a mass shooting at a Florida high school on Valentine's Day. He expressed grief for those who were affected by the shooting at Stoneman Douglas, in Parkland, Florida, but he said that people in the United States needed to find ways to disagree "without accusing one another of being evil people".

"We as a country failed our children", Andrew Pollack said.

Some participants will come straight from the state capitol in Tallahassee after lobbying lawmakers for tougher restrictions on weapons like the one used to kill their friends and teachers. The Florida state legislature voted 71-36 to reject a measure to consider banning the sale of assault weapons on Tuesday. But they were concessions that pose some risk for the Florida senator. "If they want to talk about checkpoint systems, if they want to talk about reinforcing doors, the NRA, our resources are at their disposal", she said.

We refuse to be ignored by those who will not listen.

"We have to have better protocol to follow up on those red flags", Loesch said. Do you know that it is not federally required for states to actually report people who are prohibited possessors, insane people, people who are murderers?

"You just told this group of people that you are standing up for them", he said.

"I absolutely believe that in this country, if you are 18 years of age you should not be able to buy a rifle".

These were small breaks from the creed of gun rights advocates who dominate the GOP and do not mean that Rubio will lead a charge for reform in Congress.
