Here’s A Kindy Level Breakdown Of That ‘Super Blue Blood Moon’ Event

You might set your alarm early the morning of Wednesday, January 31, for a lunar trifecta, a pre-dawn "super blue blood moon".

While none of these is extremely rare on its own, all three events have not happened at the same time in more than 150 years - since March 31, 1866. "During this phase, the size of the moon appears 7 per cent larger and its brightness is also higher". Of course, we do need to have a clear sky - which is looking iffy at this point!

The National Weather Service says the temperature will be in the mid-50s in San Diego during the eclipse, and skies are expected to be mostly clear.

According to NASA, this full moon is special for three reasons.

On average, a blue moon takes place every two and a half years.

In Lunar eclipse, the bright, pearly disc of the moon will turn dark. That's because the moon follows an elliptical path around the Earth, kind of an oblong circle, meaning that the moon can be closer at some times and farther away at others. Moon during this phase is known as super moon. This event will be worth a watch!

They see all sides of the debate, yet aren't able to have one themselves in the eyes of our democracy as it is now structured. Trump, Schumer, Kamala Harris, Mitch McConnell and countless others won't have to face what the Dreamers are experiencing.

In India, the eclipse will start around 5.18 pm on Wednesday, The Hindu reported. The last one was in September 2015. This happens five to six times a year.

For all of these events to come together for one night is extremely rare event. What is a Supermoon? The best time to view the eclipse in South Mississippi will be from about 6:15 a.m., when the moon will begin looking red from the Earth's shadow, until just before sunrise. This is followed by the Supermoon. While the overlap is known as a "supermoon", the technical term is "perigee full moon".

- An astronomical treat is coming on January 31, 2018-the so-called super blue blood moon.

Finally, there will be a lunar eclipse, wherein the moon will pass through the Earth's shadow. "Some sunlight still reaches the moon, but first it goes through earth's atmosphere", the National Aeronautics and Space Administration explains on its website.

The moon is going to put on quite a show to close out January.
