French outlet L'Equipe states that Arsenal was too involved to land Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that the club failed to meet the deadline set by the Blues which led to the side withdrawing their offer.

However, Dortmund's insistence that they sign a replacement before allowing the sale of Aubameyang is holding up the deal with Chelsea also becoming embroiled in the negotiations.
