But Chicago's rapper dad, Kanye, has major ties to the Windy City. The newest Kardashian's name, which Kim announced on January 19, is Chicago West (Chi, pronounced "Shy," for short) and so far, it seems like fans are 50/50 on it.
Though no explanation regarding the significance of the name was given, it's probably safe to assume that little Chicago was named after Kanye's hometown.
