Tonya Harding Threatens to End Insane Piers Morgan Interview: 'Suits You to Play the Victim'
The footage of Kerrigan clutching her right knee and wailing, "Why? Why?"
Tonya Harding's two-hour special, Truth and Lies: The Tonya Harding Story, had no shortage of shocking moments when it aired on January 11.
It plays as she's getting ready to attend the premiere of I, Tonya.
Margot Robbie and director Craig Gillespie on the set of "I, Tonya". She found herself with a new batch of it on Thursday when her manager Michael Ronsenberg posted on Facebook that he was no longer representing her after she made demands that the press be fined $25,000 if they ask her about her past.
"Obviously", wrote Rosenberg, "it doesn't work that way, and therefore I've chosen to terminate our business relationship".
Harding's mother is still alive, and she has spoken out since the renewed attention on the family, and she denies that she was abusive to Tonya.
"I, Tonya" is amusing when it wants to be, poignant when it needs to be, and surprisingly effective in harnessing these deeper themes to a character who might otherwise be dismissed as a lightweight laughingstock.
When asked if she had ever apologized to Kerrigan, Harding said she had multiple times.
Kerrigan is not interested in discussing the past, either.
"I was at the national [figure skating] championships this week so I didn't watch the Golden Globes", Kerrigan said.
"I was the victim".
Anyway, if you feel like crying you can read the whole thing here.
Former Olympic figure skater Tonya Harding may not have changed her stripes after all.
After years of staying out of the public eye, the release and Oscar buzz for "I, Tonya", in which Margot Robbie plays Harding, has led to a comeback of sorts for the real Harding, as audiences see her in a new light.
"I don't know." Harding told him".
In her words: "No bodyguard, are you kidding me? That was why I chose to do this movie".
Former Olympic figure skater Tonya Harding almost cut short after host Piers Morgan told her she was playing the victim in a situation in which the real victim was rival Nancy Kerrigan.
The special comes as I, Tonya, a sympathetic look at Harding's life that is in theatres, has received critical acclaim.
"Who gives these people permission to use my name?" she said.
But Golden rejected those claims. "It was a steak knife".
She continued, "She's lied so much she doesn't know what isn't a lie anymore". "I didn't abuse any of my children". We were never trailer trash. "We had a attractive new trailer", said Ms Golden. We both have wonderful lives.
Harding says her mother would beat her with anything available. "The blockbuster "Star Wars: "The Last Jedi" has dominated theaters since its December 15 opening, and, as Baker said, "'Jumanji' is doing well, and that's a classic June or July movie".
Going into a movie like this, one doesn't expect a masterfully-executed tribute to the iconic Copacabana scene from "Goodfellas", but it happens.
