3 things we learned from Chargers 24-10 loss to Chiefs

At 0-3, the chances would be incredibly slim, but the Chargers could somehow turn the season around. That's not going to happen in the AFC West this year.

Philadelphia rolled up a season-best 193 yards against the Giants and there is opportunity to do more damage with Los Angeles having its struggles halting opposing rushers. Coming back from such a frightful start would require them to put in a lot of work, but it would keep the door open for them to potentially be a wild card pick. The Chargers defense has been stout through four games. Basically, they'll be Screech.

After pulling off a heart-stopping victory in their home opener last week, the Philadelphia Eagles will face a legitimate challenge in Week 4, even they are squaring off against another winless team.

The Eagles held on for a key stop on New York's final possession, but overall, it was not a great sign.

After a rough outing against the Kansas City Chiefs, the team is nearing desperation mode and so is quarterback Philip Rivers. The game was tied before the kick and would have just gone into overtime.

Kelly Bryant leads No. 2 Clemson past No. 12 Hokies, 31-17
The Virginia Tech students, alumni and fans, all 65,632 who streamed into Lane Stadium Saturday night, were primed for an upset. But Clemson (9.3 points allowed) and Virginia Tech (10.3 points allowed) have defenses that would indicate a low-scoring game.

If the Chargers can limit Philadelphia's rush attempts, then this game could wind up in anyone's hands. He's thrown 295 touchdown passes and 150 interceptions since 2007. Ingram plays to the open side, Bosa to the tight end side. The best fans should hope for is to see some level of improvement game by game so that they do not end up finishing last in the league. The Eagles offensive line has to keep an extra eye on him to make sure he does not disrupt the offensive flow. We've wondered whether or not more Philadelphia Eagles fans would show up at the StubHub Center than that of the Los Angeles Chargers.

Carson Wentz threw for over 300 yards in each of the Eagles first two games, but backed off in the Week 3 win over NY. Philly's defense will have a unique test of their own to pass against the Chargers. The only team allowing more rushing yards per game than the Bolts? Zach Ertz meanwhile has put the team on his back thus far and the passing game will need to continue to be strong as Darren Sproles was lost indefinitely thanks to a knee and arm injury last weekend, leaving the running duties up to Wendell Smallwood and Blount. The Eagles are going to miss Cox.

Pederson has his fingers crossed that Cox's injury won't linger.

Heading into their meeting Sunday at home with the Eagles (Chargers lead the all-time series 7-4), Los Angeles must prepare for a team that could easily be 3-0 were it not for a tough road loss in week two at Kansas City. And can Tim Jernigan, Beau Allen and others replace Cox's production?

The Chargers offense has not scored more than 21 points in a game this season. He had rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown. Guys are getting way too close to blocks way too often and with a youngster that can cause a little case of the yips (and you can't blame the kid for that at all).
