Steelers vs. Vikings Week 2 injury report Tuitt Mc Donald and Wilcox questionable
As they head into a Week 2 showdown against the high-powered Pittsburgh Steelers, that excitement is beginning to dwindle as questions have been risen regarding the health of Minnesota's starting quarterback. ESPN insider Chris Mortensen says Bradford had an MRI on his balky knee earlier this week after experiencing swelling and pain in the wake of Monday night's win over the Saints.
Bradford went through warmups shortly after 10 a.m. local time where he did not do much to test the strength of his left knee.
"Just because you get around him doesn't mean you sack him", Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said Thursday.
NFL Preview Seahawks At Packers: New Additions
Green Bay's defense had an even better debut, especially considering how maligned the Packers were against the pass last season. Prosise gained 4 yards to move the chains, Carroll called a timeout with 30 seconds left - and it worked.
The Vikings defense/special teams is another to consider sitting in Week 2. Bradford had ACL surgery on the same knee in 2013 and 2014.
Against the Saints, Bradford showed exactly what he can do when he has time to throw. He injured his biceps in the season opener against the Cleveland Browns last Sunday. The Steelers (1-0) are coming off a 21-18 victory over Cleveland as they limited the Browns to 237 total yards of offense (3.8 yards per play).
Scrambling allows Roethlisberger to freelance, a unsafe concept with speedy receiver Antonio Brown able to shake free from defenders as the clock continues to tick. He tossed three scores: two to Stefon Diggs and one to Kyle Rudolph. Rhodes is dealing with a hip injury, but is only listed as questionable and should be ready for the marquis matchup. He completed 27 of 32 passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns and had a career-high passer rating of 143.0. Minnesota signed him over the offseason to serve as a backup behind Bradford.
Their quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, played well in that one - as did wide receiver Antonio Brown - but star running back Le'Veon Bell was a little off his game.
