Bolt hit the deck with severe cramp in his hamstring halfway into the last leg of the 4x100m relay final - which Great Britain went on to win for their second gold of the World Championships.

Running the final leg of the sprint relay the Jamaican was in third place and chasing the Britons and Americans when he pulled up sharply with an injury to his left leg.

"All of us were doing our best to make that happen, but unfortunately, injuries are a part of this sport and it's devastating what happened, but we have to find a way to deal with it".

"I gave it my all. In fact Usain said to me, "Yohan, I think this is crazy", he said. I drank like two bottles of water'.

That wasn't the only surprise. Paul Kipkemoi Chelimo of the United States took bronze in 13:33.30. The walk was too long.

The British quartet of Chijindu Ujah, Adam Gemili, Daniel Talbot and Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake claimed gold in 37.47 seconds, with the Justin Gatlin-led USA four taking silver 0.05 seconds behind.

Regardless of leaving London 2017 with just the solitary bronze medal, Bolt will remain the greatest sprinter for some time; if not all time.

While the Jamaican lay prone, it was Britain who crossed the line first in a world-leading time of 37.47 seconds, the U.S. - booed upon entry with 100m champion Justin Gatlin on the second leg - second with 37.52secs and Japan taking the bronze.

"He's still the man, you know".

Microsoft Is Testing Eye Control for Windows 10 Users
The update is now rolled out the beta users and other users can expect these feature to land up on their Windows 10 PC soon. While Eye Control sounds like a fun new way to operate your laptop, Microsoft is positioning it as a more important tool.

"We really wanted to send him off in style, send him off with a gold medal". Hopefully, he'll be remembered for the successes in his career, rather than the disappointing end of it.

Amid wild home celebrations, Bolt was attended to by medics, but refused a ride in a wheelchair off the track, instead finally getting up and limping alongside his teammates through to the finish line and then off into the bowels of the stadium for treatment.

Trey Hardee of the United States hit the third hurdle and clattered into the next one during the 110-meter hurdles to end his medal chances in the decathlon at the world championships. The 34-year-old is moving to road racing and marathons after this season.

Farah later said he "had nothing left" following last week's 10,000m win. Incredibly, Harrison - who set the world record of 12.22sec on this track previous year - could only run 12.74, a time she could normally do in her sleep.

Defending champion Ashton Eaton retired this year after winning the last two Olympic and world titles.

In the morning session on Saturday, the eight-time Olympic Gold medalist made sure there was no hiccups as Jamaica won the second of the two semi-final heats, ahead of France and China.

"This is the best feeling in the world, world champions", said Gemili, overlooked for individual selection for the championships.

Harrison took fourth in 12.74 seconds on the same track where set the world record of 12.20 last summer. He is coming back in a couple of years.
