Priebus latest high-profile departure from Trump admin

Homeland Security Secretary and former Marine Corps general John Kelly will replace Priebus, who was chairman of the Republican Party before he joined the Trump administration.

'By putting Gen John Kelly in charge, Pres Trump is militarizing the White House & putting our executive branch in the hands of an extremist, ' Lee stated. He's a great American and a great leader.

With Kelly leaving DHS, Washington has been crackling with speculation about who President Trump might pick to head the nation's key security agency.

Priebus also affirmed his commitment to Trump's presidency, noting that he was "always going to be a Trump fan".

"I'm not that anxious about it but Trump doesn't hire yes men like Obama did, he's hiring people with sharp elbows, people with very sharp tongues who come in and compete and are very passionate and they're all from different walks of life". "I will refrain in this arena but not give up the passionate fight" for President Donald Trump's agenda.

Rumors of Priebus' potential departure have swirled around D.C. for months.

Woj: Celtics yet to make Cleveland an offer for Kyrie Irving
While Billups later claimed he wasn't privy to Irving's desired exit, he appeared to know about chaos within the organization. By now, it's common knowledge that Irving requested a trade out of Cleveland and named four teams as preferred targets.

A target of constant criticism in the administration, Priebus has had an open feud with new White House Communications Director Anthony Scarmucci and strongly opposed his appointment. Trump thanked him for his service and "dedication to his country". "I support him in that", Priebus said.

Priebus and Scaramucci both traveled with Trump for a crime speech in Long Island on Friday. "I was wrong. You accomplish great things every day defending our nation and I know your exceptional work will continue".

Scaramucci then seemed to blame Reince Priebus for the dinner leak, calling him a, "f**king paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac".

Ryan, the nation's third-highest ranking Republican, said Priebus "achieved so much and he has done it all with class". "I'm not going to get into the mud on that", he told Blitzer when asked about Scaramucci. "This is, I think, good for the president".

Scaramucci's starred in a dramatic White House staff shakeup that involved "colorful" language and the loss of at least three senior staff members. What we know about this president is that he prefers more of a spokes-in-the-wheel structure where everyone has access to him and he's the keeper of all the information.

"We have had differences", he said.
