BJP wooed Nitish with 2019 in sight?
Nitish Kumar on Wednesday resigned as Chief Minister and tied up with the BJP and took oath as Chief Minister on Thursday with BJP's Sushil Modi as his Deputy.
Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi administered the Oath of Office and Secrecy at a hurriedly-organized event at the Raj Bhavan as JD-(U) supporters shouted "Nitish Kumar Zindabad".
In a marked change from his previous statements against the Narendra Modi administration, Kumar said that with an NDA government at the Center and NDA government in Bihar, the state was poised to reach new heights in terms of progress and development.
There are other seasoned politicians like Mayawati, Sitaram Yechuri and NCP chief Sharad Pawar, however, their political clout at this point does not seem to suggest that they can match Prime Minister Modi's political aura. "I, therefore, made a decision to listen to my inner voice and put in my papers". The exit of Nitish Kumar proves that the Gandhi family is no longer the pivot around which the non-BJP, non-Congress parties will organise themselves. "It was a fixed match", says Laloo. In the light of above discussion, it can be safely concluded that probably running a coalition in present political priorities of Sangh parivar it may be not as easy as Nitish handled his coalition partner BJP previously in Bihar. He had spoken first on the confidence motion, slamming Nitish Kumar for dumping the Grand Alliance and joining hands with former ally, the BJP.
The BJP formed a government in Manipur and in Goa despite not having a majority, it said. However, if that landmark year is anything to go by, the NDA government better watch out for the Patna High Court's judgment, whenever it comes.
Before Nitish Kumar resigned, he used to call RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav about 10 minutes before resignation. He has never compromised on these issues ever since he came to power 12 years ago.
There was no cross-voting, the Speaker Vijay Kumar Choudhary's rejection of RJD and Congress' demand for a secret ballot ensuring that voting was strictly on party lines.
From JD (U), the MLAs who are likely to be inducted in the cabinet are Lalan Singh, Shravan Kumar, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Jaikumar Singh, Madan Sahni, Niraj Kumar and Khursheed Alam or Ghulam Rasool Baliyavi.
Weakness: Represents Dynastic politics, known as reluctant politician, no grip on veteran party leaders (leaders left the Congress and joined BJP under his watch), lacks vision for India, silent on corruption.
"Trouble started brewing soon after the formation of the government". I clearly told them to give point-by-point rebuttal to the charges. On July 21, just five days before Nitish Kumar announced both his resignation and staked a claim to form another government, chief minister Mamata Banerjee had told her massed supporters in Kolkata that a "goonda" was ruling in Delhi and that she would use the next fortnight to kick the BJP out of West Bengal.
Analysts, however, believe that the script for Nitish's reunion with the BJP had been written over a period of a few months. He played dirty politics.

Statement on Health Care Victory Led by Everyday People
Healthcare access has become more hard even for those with insurance thanks to rising premiums and high-deductible health plans. That goes to a basic concept about any kind insurance: People who don't file claims in any given year subsidize those who do.
