Trump questions Mueller's impartiality

Pro-Trump group launches new attack ad against Special Counsel Robert Mueller

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, on Thursday accused Sen. Lahren says over images of former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey and Robert Mueller. "Robert Mueller's decision to hire a team of Washington insider lawyers who happen to be big Democrat donors with a clear bias against the President is simply absurd", said Tomi Lahren, a Senior Adviser to the Great America Alliance.

"This included telling us who was, and who was not, under investigation", Grassley stated on the floor of the Senate. Mr. Comey told me and other Congressional leaders that President Trump was not under investigation. We now know this was a bluff, perhaps meant to coax Mr. Comey to keep quiet about his conversations with Mr. Trump. Comey later felt obliged to testify in front of the Senate, where he contradicted much of Trump's story about the chain of events surrounding his ouster.

Oliver then went after President Trump for saying his "tapes" tweet "wasn't very stupid" because according to him, it forced Comey to tell the truth at his Senate hearing. The Fox reporter told Trump that was a "smart way" to make sure Comey stays honest and Trump responded. He had also told the Gang of Eight.

Max Verstappen: More to come from Red Bull
Sergio Perez set the initial pace, heading a strong initial showing for Force India after their Canada heroics. Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel came in third - 1:47.967.

Grassley then turned his attack toward Democrats who he said knew that Trump was never under investigation but proceeded to tell the public otherwise-particularly Democratic members of the "gang of eight", which are all the top leaders of both parties in Congress and the top leaders in both parties on the intelligence committees in both chambers. Of course, the gang of eight includes Senate Minority Leader Senator Schumer.

And of course that further helped feed media hysteria. "The title echoes Trump's criticism of the investigation, which he has called a "witch hunt" on Twitter several times".

Donald Trump and some of his allies have been slowly picking away at the independent FBI investigation into Trump's 2016 campaign and its alleged ties to Russian Federation - starting weeks ago when rumors surfaced that Trump was considering firing Robert Mueller, who is leading up the investigation.
